NFT & DWC Hydroponic Systems
Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) and Deep Water Culture (DWC) are the workhorses of commercial hydroponic lettuce and leafy green production. NFT channels deliver a thin film of nutrient solution continuously across plant roots, while DWC suspends roots directly in oxygenated nutrient solution. BECCE designs, supplies, and commissions complete systems for commercial greenhouse operations — from small 500m² pilot facilities to multi-hectare operations. We provide nutrient management protocols, plant spacing guides, and ongoing technical support.

Iceberg Lettuce Production: A Commercial Guide
Iceberg lettuce is one of the highest-value crops for Turkish hydroponic producers, with strong demand from hotels, restaurants, and supermarket chains. A well-managed NFT system can produce a head of iceberg lettuce in 35–45 days from transplant, with up to 12–14 production cycles per year. BECCE guides clients through variety selection, climate control requirements (optimal 18–22°C day temperature), EC and pH management, and post-harvest handling to meet retail specifications for clean, fresh, shelf-stable product.

Urban & Rooftop Farming Systems
Turkey's growing cities present a compelling opportunity for urban food production. Rooftop growing systems — using lightweight hydroponic channels, LED grow lighting, and climate-controlled growing environments — can supply fresh produce directly to urban consumers with zero transport emissions. BECCE assesses structural loading capacity, designs optimal system layouts, selects appropriate lighting technology, and manages installation. Urban farms can target premium direct-to-consumer sales, food service contracts, or subscription box models.
